In reply to <a href="https://blogs.icta.net/slty/2009/02/18/blog-status/#comment-25">Joseph B Fischer</a>.

Joseph, I suspect the automated email system will never be able to properly link... because it is not smart about private RSS feeds.

Your best solution is to switch from the MailChimp blog notification, to RSS notification:
a) Sign in here
b) Use the RSS feed link in your User area (right side of each page) to subscribe to your personal feed. Use any RSS reader
c) When you're happy with the RSS setup, unsubscribe from the "Blog updates" interest area in your MailChimp subscription.

Now I can get to all the topics. Thought provoking!

However, when I click on the link in the email announcement, it sends me to the login page, even though I am automatically logged in. This might be confusing to some people.

Is it possible to link from the email to the home page of the blog, if I am already registered and had asked that my ID and password be remembered automatically?

Should be fixed now. The protected blog software is quite buggy :( ... it keeps losing the permissions we set!

Part of the login problem may still be related to the hyperlinks.

Most of the discussion threads now link to the correct pages, but the new "Life support gone awry" links to /contact/please-login. So I am sent to the login page, even though I am already logged in. I can click on the links to the other discussions, which work, but I can't get to the "Life support" page. Something seems to have "gone awry!"
