Thanks Leslie! Good thoughts! An encouragement which reminds me of a recent thought in my head... the joy of the Lord is my strength... and... For the joy set before him he endured the cross! Thanksgiving and Joy are probably the gasoline for walking with Jesus! I keep forgetting that!

While it's true that some Indian recipes, especially restaurant-style recipes, require a lot of time and prep work, there are many that can be made in 10-20 minutes. To cut down on time, you could use ready-made masala powders and pastes or make extra as you did and store.
For some easy Indian vegetarian/vegan recipes, check out this site:

I love your socks! And I also love getting socks in my stocking at Christmas... recently my favorite new pairs are the ankle ones (polka dots and stripes), as well as the crazy multi colored ones that I have too, from Suzanne. Thanks Mom and Suzanne! :)

What a wonderful post!

I especially appreciate your line about wanting a reset.

I have been at a loss for what to do for my husband & your list has given me some practical, down to earth, ideas.

Hey Leslie, thanks for following my blog! I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to join the conversation any time. I always like interacting with other bloggers, especially bloggers who are knowledgable on strange unusual birds! ;). See you around!

Yes, they're from Africa, which is why I had to go to the Denver Zoo to see one. Too bad I can't count captive birds on my life list.

Hmmm... I went to a friends house (with you!) and we were eatting this fish pasta thingy... and then I realized that the little white noodles were the fish. Whole. (With little black beady eyes!) fortunately, I had already eaten a bunch and liked it, so I just tried to not think about it. I did, however, know ahead of time that it would be an authentic Chinese meal, and I'm one for trying unique dishes, so it was ok.
