About Mom
I’ve been a mom for quite a while now—since 1981, in fact. My husband and I have two wonderful daughters who both married totally great guys. We’ve been quite impressed with all four of them as they have taken on life’s challenges. Once in a while, they humor us and ask for our advice. We think they’re quite capable of making excellent decisions.
My husband and I live on 5 acres in Colorado, with Ponderosa pines and a field of weeds… er, wildflowers. We got married in 1979, and we are still enthusiastically in love with each other. He works full-time leading a small non-profit ministry that combines his high-tech background and his life as a disciple of Jesus.
I have been a follower of Jesus since my freshman year in college. This relationship affects everything I believe and everything I do. My blog is bound to reflect this Biblical worldview. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
When I’m not being Mom, I’m out watching birds, taking photographs, growing our large vegetable garden, volunteering as a Colorado Master Gardener, hiking & camping, writing articles, editing our local Audubon chapter’s newsletter and website, and spending time with my aging dad. I also have a social life. Let’s just say I’m not bored.
